11/06/02-David Berger has been appointed General Manager of the new 156-room
Hampton Inn® Hotel at 250 N. Andrews Ave. in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. The
announcement was made by Chris Cargen, CEO of Hospitality America, Inc. of
Brentwood, TN, the management company.
As
General Manager, Mr. Berger will direct all areas of hotel operations,
including guest services, sales and marketing, and hotel administration.

a fabulous new hotel which complements the growth and revitalization of
Downtown. I'm excited about the responsibilities I have assumed and
opportunities that will come. Our purpose is to meet and satisfy the lodging

demonstrated our success in achieving this goal. Our staff has met the
challenge. We will continue to provide upscale guestrooms and hotel services
at moderate prices," commented Mr. Berger.
Prior to joining the Hampton Inn
team, Mr. Berger held positions as Operations Manager with Hyatt®
in Boca Raton, Florida, Lodging Director with Clarion®
Hotel in Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida, and General Manager with Prime
Hospitality in both Tampa and Jupiter, Florida. Mr. Berger received a degree
in Hotel Administration from Lynn University.
