Hospitality America announced today promotions at two Downtown Greenville hotels. Glen
Williams has been appointed General Manager of the new Main @ Broad Marriott Courtyard
– Greenville effective immediately. Glen has worked with Hospitality America for three
years, first serving as the General Manager of Hampton Inn – Columbia Downtown Historic
District and most recently as the General Manager of the Hampton Inn and Suites -
RiverPlace.
Leigh Holloway has been appointed General Manager of the Hampton Inn and Suites – RiverPlace, filling Williams’
position. Holloway has been with the Hampton Inn and Suites – RiverPlace for over three years in the capacity of
Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and Assistant General Manager. Hospitality America Vice President of
Operations, Ross Wagers stated that both Williams and Holloway are qualified for their new positions and bring with
them valuable skill sets. “We are fortunate to have two highly qualified candidates to fill these critical positions at
our Downtown Greenville hotels. Glen brings previous Marriott experience and Hilton /Hampton experience and
strong personnel management skills to this new role,” Wagers commented. “Leigh brings to her role a tremendous
amount of intellect, personnel management skills, and a strong passion for hospitality. I am looking forward to
working with Glen and Leighn in their new roles as General Managers of the Main @ Broad Courtyard by Marriott
and the Hampton Inn and Suites – RiverPlace.”
The Hampton Inn and Suites – RiverPlace opened in July of 2006 and employs 42 staff members. The Main @
Broad Courtyard by Marriott is expected to open late in the first quarter of 2010 and will employ 45 people. In
addition to managing the Hampton Inn and Suites -RiverPlace and the Main @ Broad Courtyard Marriott in
Greenville, Hospitality America also manages Hampton Inn Greenville at I-385 and Woodruff Road in Greenville,
SC; Hampton Inn Downtown in Columbia, SC; Hilton Columbia Center in Columbia, SC;
Hampton Inn Johnson
City in Johnson City, TN; Hampton Inn Coconut Grove in Coconut Grove, FL; Hampton Inn Fort Lauderdale in Fort
Lauderdale, FL; Hampton Inn Pembroke Pines; Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Downtown in Miami, FL (opening in
2010); Hampton Inn & Suites in Gainesville, Miami, and Tallahassee, FL; and Wingate by Wyndham Miramar, FL.
