Miami, FL, 06/16/2003 - Complimentary wireless Internet access Wi-Fi Certified™ is now in place in all guestrooms, meeting spaces and public areas at the Hampton Inn & Suites® - Miami Airport / Blue Lagoon.
This new feature was added to the existing complimentary wired Internet access, which was introduced shortly after the hotel opened in 2000. "Our guests can literally access their computers in front of our hotel and go to their rooms or to the pool deck while surfing the Web," said Eduardo Chapoval, general manager. The Wi-Fi tm technology allows guests to connect to the Internet without cable limitations. Laptops equipped with wireless adapters or with the newly released Intel® Centrino® processors will be able to go anywhere inside the hotel without losing their Internet access.
"Our goal is to provide our guests with the latest technologies at no extra charge. We were the first hotel in our market to offer the free high-speed Internet access in all guestrooms and meeting spaces and now, the first to offer Free Wireless (Wi-Fi ™) high-speed Internet access in the entire building," commented Mr. Chapoval.
