Corporate Profile

Hospitality America is a hotel management company with 3 decades of expertise developing and managing hotels across the United States and in the Caribbean.

Hospitality America is ranked among the Top 25 by Occupancy, #19 by ADR and #16 by RevPAR – Annual Rankings of the Top 100 Management Companies, HOTEL BUSINESS , April 2013. We achieve high Internet customer-review rankings and in most markets our hotels rank in the Top 10 and several of our hotels lead their markets as #1.

Currently, we operate 15 hotels with over 2,000 rooms. Most are Hilton and Marriott branded, upscale versions of their respective brands. We prefer quality over quantity and thus have been very careful building our managed portfolio so that any hotel we add, will synergize well with our existing set. A major driver of our success has been Hospitality America’s involvement in the pre-development action steps of every hotel we now operate, except one. Our involvement spans site selection, branding, internal financial proforma, FF&E design and purchasing.  

In this Internet age, the hotel room has been “commodized”. To rise above this, it is essential that every hotel feature a compelling site location and a unique physical character within brand standards. Our long and strong qualitative and financial performance record enables us to “stretch the envelope” because the brands typically trust that we will develop and manage a superior product. Often, our initiatives that started as variance requests have later been adapted as brand-wide standards.

We know success in hospitality comes only from exceeding the expectations of a triangle of interdependencies flowing in both directions between Guests – Associates – Owners.  It all starts with striving to satisfy the Guest – every time. Our talented and passionate Associates are equipped with the training and tools to deliver. Happy guests raise our occupancies, ADR’s and RevPAR’s, resulting in exceeding the financial expectations of Owners

Chris Cargen, Hospitality America’s CEO, offices in Brentwood, TN.   He is a Ye Hosts Scholastic Honorary graduate of the Cornell University Hotel School and a 40-year veteran of the hospitality industry. Other Hospitality America regional offices serve from Greenville, SC and Miami, FL.
